Once again it's time to cast the line and see who bites.

gaming@connooga.com

We're expanding the room hours and adding more tables to the room so we can accomodate the games we're putting together for the coming year. But we need GMs to help fill up those tables. If you would like to run a game for us, you will get the same staff rate as other volunteers ($15) but you only have to commit to 2 four hour slots instead of 16 volunteer hours. The available slots are as follows:

Friday (2pm-6pm)
Friday (6pm-10pm)
Saturday (10am-2pm)
Saturday (2pm-6pm)
Saturday (6pm-10pm)
Sunday (10am-2pm)

And your game should be submitted in the following format:

Title:
System:
Max # of Players:
Brief Description:

PLEASE HAVE YOUR GAMES SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 20TH!!!

We have the addition of an RPGA schedule (coming soon) and the big news is that we are hosting a Pre-Qualifying event for the National Settlers of Catan Tournament. Transportation (in the form of gas money), a room, and a badge for Origins 2010 will be provided to the winner of the local event! A fee of $10 must be paid at the Registration table.

For those of you who do not know or understand what CoNooga is and what it is all about, please check out their site. It is a very fun, good, interesting, active, friendly (other than Mark) con. The entire bunch of nuckleheads really put on a great con. There is something for everyone. Well maybe not those looking for scantly clad, semi-nude pics of Mark....or maybe there is. Shutter.....
Ok, off my small soapbox.

Con Nooga Living RPG sign-ups are live!

Postby emperor799 on Feb 1st, '10, 7:47 pm

Con Nooga Living RPG sign-ups are live! http://www.warhorn.net/connooga/

RPG table play is free with your badge, we just need to do sign-ups in advance to make sure all tables meet minimum players size and are covered by a DM. Pregenerated characters are available for all games and newbies are always welcome. We had 14 new players over the course of SIEGE last May and would be happy to break that record!

As you can see on warhorn, we'll be offering Pathfinder Society and Living Forgotten Realms adventures of each level group in each slot as well as rounds 1 through 4 of the Embers of Dawn mini campaign across the entire con!

Hope to see you there!

What if someone doesn't sign up in advance? Are you going to kick them out like you usually do?

I believe you are misinformed, sir. I've never kicked anyone out of any game for not signing up, but there's a required minimum and maximum table size for several games, the living campaigns especially, and I must adhere to them for the table to be legal, reportable, and to actually give the players the rewards they earn for their living characters.

Because of this, if a table has the maximum number of players and someone else wants to play, I must, sadly, offer them a seat at a different table instead.

To make sure this happens a infrequently as possible, we offer advance sign-ups so that we can gauge how many players are interested in a specific adventure, let them reserve their seats and guarantee themselves a spot, and overflow past the maximum seating so that we can look for an additional judge and plan to offer an additional table so that everyone can be seated as often as possible.

Thanks,

Dude, what's the food situation?

Not sure if the non-living games are set up this way, but with the living games, there's no break to go get food. Yes, there are restaurants on site, but even then, that looks like a hassle to go run grab eats and then run right back to play.

Hi Jay,

In addition to the local restaurants in the area to which people could do food runs on foot pretty easily, I'm assured that Mel's Diner will return. They were the ones at Con Nooga with the cart serving pizza, nachos, drinks, misc junk food, etc.

In addition to that, judges will be offered a free lunch in the hospitality suite on Saturday. (I've heard the word pizza tossed around.) I expect they'll have paper plates and such so you can grab it and come back to the gaming hall fairly quickly.

Cheers,

Kyle

Good news!

I'm able to squeeze in a 9th slot on Sunday from 2pm-6pm.

Sadly, I could only wrangle two tables away from the myriad tournaments going on at that time though. To be fair, next Tuesday I'll add one table of an adventure in the most popular LFR level band and one adventure in the most popular PFS level band, according to sign-ups. Post here if you have any specific requests!

Thanks!

Are any of you here on Knox Gamers going to make it down to play or run anything? If anyone plans on running anything let me know so I can plan for it.

Hello Forge,

Are you the contact now for game planning for ConNooga? If so, you need to contact arcchon through PM so we can discuss previously agreed tables and other items.

Thanks!

Hello, everyone!

First of all, let me say thanks to all of those that braved the Blizzard of 2010 and came to the Con we had recently.

Second, I appreciate all of the interest in Connooga; its seems the gaming center at the con has been getting busier and busier each year.

It has come to my attention that I need to clarify what exactly it is that knoxgamers.org is officially doing at Connooga.

We have three tables this year and I will be running a 3.5 open D&D adventure there; Seneca will be running a game as well, likely a 3.5 adventure, at table 2, and LostS will also be running a board game at the third table. We have the tables for all sessions.

There are also multiple other activities typically at Connooga, so you don't just have to be a gamer to enjoy yourself!

I hope to see many of you there!

emperor799 is the guy in charge of running the Living Forgotten Realms D&D 4E games and the Pathfinder Society games. I am helping him out at the con.

Glad to see that there will be some other games being run. I will also be Running an Earthdawn 3E Demo game on Saturday which you can sign up for at the Warhorn site if you want to save yourself a seat.

Hope to see you all there!!

I do not think that the head of gaming has changed. To my knowledge it is still mswafford (Mark). He has been seen on these boards from time to time. Forge and Emperor are running different games at the con.
I will be heading down there on Friday the 19th. I will hit up a game on Friday evening during the 6pm session.
